For Funtoo, it implies getting an old automatic build script and rolling my own. I have since pulled the cc_config.xml file from the laptop

I can't believe this, but I'm diagnosing two completely different issues.
On Vista, I recommend you install BOINC 6.2.28: best practice directions are here: http://wcg.wikia.com/wiki/Installation_(Vista) For Funtoo, you need to build libcurl with OpenSSL support. It should be a build option. You may need to rebuild BOINC - I'm not sure. |
