I am running WCG BOINC 6.2.28 on both Windows XP SP3 and Vista Business SP1. I have configured BOINC Manager so that I can manually start and stop it. Operating this way, BOINC still delays two minutes before starting. This delay isn’t useful and is even mildly annoying. Is there a way to eliminate the two minute delay?

The delay was put there to cure a fault....cannot remember what it was but it is there for a purpose.....some form of contention clash I think....

No, Scribe - it was put there simply so that BOINC startup doesn't slow down the boot or login process.
