I got one of these several hours ago, with the same deadline of 5/28 and apparently the same priority as my other existing HCMD 2 waiting workunits. Many of the others have run, and the beta is still sitting there. I am running a high priority -2 workunit with deadline of 5/19 so the priority system still works.
----------------------------------------It doesn't matter to me how soon I run it, unless you want them sooner. There are a couple days worth of workunits ahead of it. It's just an observation.

Got 6 of them.
As of now, 2 are pending, 2 are crunching and 2 have validated. The ones that have finished have taken exactly 3 hours to crunch. |

Well, all baskets of fruit have their bad apples...
One WU has errored, and my machine wasn't the only one so far to give an error. The other Beta running on the same machine has validated without a problem. Hi Van Fanel!
----------------------------------------The Result log you show looks much like that of a successful WU. Is it really the Result Log of your WU in error? During beta tests the techs are interested more by error logs than by successful ones. Cheers. Jean. |

Hi Van Fanel! The Result log you show looks much like that of a successful WU. Is it really the Result Log of your WU in error? During beta tests the techs are interested more by error logs than by successful ones. Uhhhh... I don't know what to say nor what happened. The result was marked with Error when I first posted (I confess I didn't even bother to read the log; just copy/pasted it here). There was another user also marked with Error, and the WU had been sent to 5 computers already instead of 3. Now it is marked Valid, for me and all the wingmen (4 of them so far; the 5th is still crunching). A glitch on the server side, maybe? Or is it the result of cutting the WU short before it naturally finishes? |

Results have been marked with Error before and on rerun through the validator proofed to be okay. In this test a result is expected to run out of time which should seed more child tasks. Not read if this generates separate tasks with quorum or whether they get grouped together.

Hi Van Fanel,
Or is it the result of cutting the WU short before it naturally finishes? By Jove I think you've GOT it!! This Beta test is supposed to cut the work unit short and return the partial result. Naturally each result will be different and no auto-validation will work. We have to wait for knreed to mark them Valid manually. Poor poor overworked knreed. Lawrence |
