Hi,
----------------------------------------I'm seeing many, very short WUs, 5-15 mins long. I've been watching 22 cores, completing 1 or 2 WUs a minute for about 30 mins. Pete "Patience is a virtue", I can't wait to learn it! |

I have posted about this. It appears that all of these work units have been sent out. Please let me know if you see any for work units other than this. GPDAA.clustersOccur-RADIA.clustersOccur -Uplinger |

Adjustments must be beginning already I would have to assume as I have had wide range of short WU, but have no received one running for 1:48:03 and at a little over 22% complete.

I also see that due to the really short runtimes and the ready queue size on my power machine alone, the waiting queue got tremendously long. Then there was a temporary halt in CMD units for sure since I suddenly got loaded with a ton of non-CMD units (close to 30) due to "Allow others when none available" which will take quite awhile to run if I allow them to. Yes, I know it is selfish, but as a Duchenne's MD parent I had turned everything else off the minute I saw this go live...

well the ultra short WUs, combined with a temporary break in the delivery of HCMD2 units led to ~70-80 WUs from other projects get onto my main machine. they have been running for hours and I just got home from work to find ~60 of those still waiting to run. I also found 313 HCMD2 WUs in the run queue being starved out. I may be wrong, but I don't think there was a prayer of completing all of these items. It was going to take at least 2 full days just to run the non-HCMD2 and I am fully committed for the duration to HCMD2.
Thus, to get the 313 HCMD2 units back from starvation I aborted a number of those tasks. I don't yet know if these HCMD2 are ultra short ones or more normal in size, but I guess will be finding out as they process through the run queue. |
