Look at "Days Tasks Left" on SekeRob's dashboard; the 2 Jan update says 51. However, the margin of uncertainty is unknown!

Re: News from the Crunching Field

sekerob's chart is a best guess.

if new projects show up, or if a project gets temp stopped, or if dddt2 gets rain or if a project goes into a slowdown...

being there are 3 projects "under 90 days" as of today the chart shows "50" for HCMD2.

as a project comes to a close some people shift to running only that task cause they want to finish the project or get a last badge.... others shift off the project cause they know they wont get another badge.

there are also re-sends that will happen or other cleanup work units so the main work may be done in 50 days but small trickles will show up a few days later.

Re: News from the Crunching Field

Yup, this afternoon (UK time) has seen another burst of downloads of parent batches. In just 6 hours, I've seen some from every batch number from 2277 to 2281. They're all listed as short duration, too - 2h 41m.

Re: News from the Crunching Field

So perhaps that burst of parent batches ended with 2283, maybe 2284 anyone? The completion time was underestimated on many of them as most are running to or over 6 hours.
Now I'm seeing only children batches from earlier parents such as 2268.

Re: News from the Crunching Field

I see the dashbard shows 49 days left. I wonder if HCMD may actually finish before HCC (currently at 41 days estimate). confused

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

It would be unfair for me to bet that HCMD2 will finish before HCC1 [Gordon Gecko is back though and would no shy to to do so] ;)

P.S. Have restored the original thread title for the occasion!
