Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

A LOT can happen in even just 3 months - new project launches/DDDT2 becoming more of a regular rain feature etc., etc., etc., so this far out, it's more of a 'stab in the dark', rather than 'it'll be finished in n number of months'...

I think the only certainty (other than death and taxes), is that HFCC will have finished.

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

As noted last week, there are some serious monster batches coming with many more positions. Though Nico_B updated the % progress, he did not update the batches received/indexed value, but the charts he publishes still run quite a few computed batches behind, so I make it at least 63.5 %. That said, the dynamic plotter comes to May 21, 2012 v the hard entered date of May 31, 2012, so think we just need to plod, not drive each-other nuts every second week and do the job for which all are much thanked

PS, Nico_B posts somewhere on Decrypthon or Facebook... maybe there's some fresh comments in that place?

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

SekeRob, Thanks for the update. For those of us who have the resources to crunch only one or maybe two of the current projects to the 5 year level, it is helpful to have an educated guess of how much time is left so we don't start something we can't finish. Your crystal ball has been very helpful (and accurate), even though I add my own safety factor.

I've pulled a few from batch 1579. It's clear sailing for about 10 more batches, but on the horizon I see a few huge waves.

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

The monstrosity is seemingly 1593 plus one before and after, here too 1579 the highest in house.

Many of the 1577 parents run in one go to an end in 7-10 hours, but one or 2 have not gotten beyond 45 minutes and only one so far hitting the 6 hour padded wall. Me laptop duo loves these 5-7MB RAM users.

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

Looking at Nico_B's charts, he's got pieces of batches which when rolled back is more or less equivalent to 1528 batches complete. We're chewing now on the monster 1593. Taking the work not yet uploaded/indexed, we're over 2/3rd... about 67%. Chart immenently updated.

We've just passed 75 million validated results as well... milestones

peace

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

It seems we are chewing through 1599 & on my I7 980X some tasks are reaching the 6 hour padded wall.

CMD2_ 1599-1H6V_ B.clustersOccur-1JX2_ A.clustersOccur_ 104_ 0-- Finishing early because max runtime has been exceeded.21609.227265
CMD2_ 1599-1H6V_ B.clustersOccur-1JX2_ A.clustersOccur_ 14_ 0-- Finishing early because max runtime has been exceeded.21602.363276
CMD2_ 1599-1H6V_ B.clustersOccur-1JX2_ A.clustersOccur_ 98_ 1-- Finishing early because max runtime has been exceeded.21604.235288

All 6 CPU Time (hours)

That's a hand full of tasks hitting the 6 hour padded wall. All task process bars reached 100% in Boinc manager. I thought if a task exits at 6 hours it has only reached 60% complete? If that the case why doesn't the process bar in Boinc manager get to 60% at 6 hour mark then jump to 100%?
