I'm puzzled about my statistics in BOINC Manager. The graph shows a normal upward progression up until the 4th of May, then a huge downwards diagonal spike to 16th June, then back to a normal steady upwards progression.
---------------------------------------- Presumably this is why I get these messages? 05/05/2009 21:01:27|World Community Grid|Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks 05/05/2009 21:01:27|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent 05/05/2009 21:01:27|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the website. 05/05/2009 21:01:27|World Community Grid|Message from server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 100.0% of time, BOINC on 0.2% of that I'd appreciate any help solving this one... If I were to detach from WGC then reattach would that solve this? Or do I need to delete BOINC completely and reinstall? ![]() |

I don't think that's the problem. I've only been having problems getting jobs since that 'spike' appeared on my statistics. Prior to that everything was fine - I was running CEP and HCCC.
----------------------------------------I think I'm probably going to have to uninstall and reinstall but I'm reluctant to do that as I don't want to lose my badges. I only have one PC so it's hard enough to get them! ![]() ![]() |

Obviously, fancy things have occurred about the system date in your machine! I am not sure that simply detaching/reattaching can clear such a mess. I would rather - stop Boinc - go to its data directory - erase files client_state.xml and client_state_prev.xml - restart Boinc. Then you will probably need to attach WCG again. Cheers. Jean. |

If you resume activity with the same member name there will be no problem with your stats and badges. Good luck. Jean. |

Thanks guys!
---------------------------------------- Shutting down BOINC, detaching from WGC, deleting those two files and reattaching, got everything working again... I think! Thanks again! And I don't seem to have lost my badges. ![]() ![]() |
