Re: Inconclusive work unit

Maybe because you've not been a good boy biggrin.

The 'Inconclusive' identifier will be renamed in the future, we hope, to remove the negative association. Something like "Pending Revalidation" it could become. At any rate, the status is temporary until more copies have been computed to verify validity.

Re: Inconclusive work unit

I just had one of these. Browsing the result log I found this...

No heartbeat from core client for 30 sec - exiting
Failed to get VersionInfo size: 1812
Restoring grahics. bestEnergy: -8.680890 maxGenSeen: 6750
AG Check: Found receptor.C.map
Beginning AutoDock...
INFO: Setting num_generations: 27000
About to enter main loop...(dockings already completed: 335)

... the wu continued, reported normally and said it was sucessful. I don't know why there was no heartbeat, it was during the night and nothing seems awry, AVG interaction?. I see it has been sent again. I'll be watching that.

Re: Inconclusive work unit

Your OS does things when you're asleep, plus there can be scheduled tasks such as a full AV sweep, so look in the various event logs, whatever OS.

Yes, something interfered for the comms between core client and science to be hindered. These results most of the time validate after a "second or third opinion".

Anyway, several FAQs exist in the Start Here forum that touch on the Inconclusive result aka Pending REvalidation. Read them for better understanding: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...=&forum=3&rows=20
