The latest batch are halting

Three in a row now I have had to abort

The symptoms are HFCC work units part way through no CPU activity being expended on the work unit

This will halt many an unaware crunchers progress the agent I am using is 5.10.45

It doesn't break itself out of this paused progress!

Just thought you should know

Dave

Re: The latest batch are halting

David,

Can you confirm that this is workunits such as:

HFCC_t1_00435720_TrkB_0000
HFCC_t1_00309482_TrkB_0005
HFCC_t1_00308941_TrkB_0003

thanks,
Kevin

Re: The latest batch are halting

Hi Kevin

yes those are the ones

Yesterday noticed 2 were not running (both cores) I changed their priority in Task Manager to see if that might make a difference figuring I might have another rogue process invisibly hogging the CPU and still they did not run so I had to abort them after ~25% This morning just 50% CPU as a third HFCC had stopped running overnight. The other core quite happily crunching a DDDT

It could be this laptop but it has been very reliable up to now and it's only the HFCC WU's I have ever seen halted like this.

Hope that helps in the debug

Best Regards

dave

Re: The latest batch are halting

Right when the morning production, extrapolated is pointing at a project daily record both in results and CPU years and 2 million tasks are in the bag.

Re: The latest batch are halting

Hi Kevin

I have changed my profile so I am just crunching HFCC

I have cleared out all the other projects from the queue for the moment

I'll let you know on progress

Cheers

Thanks - let us know what you find. We ran those workunits you mentioned on our test systems and they are making steady progress.
