No one noticed the recent Boinc individual 'pie stats' for yesterday and this morning at various Boinc boards like Free-DC?
----------------------------------------hmm, well it does look like they only updated their stats once on the 26th, not the usual 4 times so most of the 26th will have been lumped into the 27th. Nothing I can really do about that unfortunately, I can only work with what he project gives me Look here to see when the stats updated. http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=statsrun&proj=bwcg So, on the 26th, they updated at 6am, but not again that day. They 'rolled' over at midnight, then updated at 1.45am. So anything accumulated between 6am and midnight on the 26th went into the 27th 'bucket'.. On the 27th they updated the stats 5 times, last one being close to, but before midnight, so everything also got put into the 27th as well.. Hope that helps explain it. Bok I mean, and this was not a known issue? ![]() |

Not going to try to understand what this is about. WCG updates the stats sets twice a day at 12:00 and and 00:00 UTC and you, through xml, can get virtually real time the boinc stats per individual. Anyway my own team's stats bakers, which are quite a few show no anomaly. As example, this, which ties to the BOINC credit exact to my agent value and what the firefox statusbar real time stats fetcher says:

Sekerob, not even going to try? Perhaps I should do a cut and paste from the post to Bok at Free-DC ....
----------------------------------------Bok, for some reason, the stats 'sorted by yesterday' (that is the stat I use for the "Daily Pie " segment each day) is "stuck". Our Team is Team Andrax at the WCG. The stats for 'sorted by yesterday' is now "accumulative". I think that at least 2 days of stats have now been added in that same category. I hope that you can help! Perhaps I should have posted this in my first thread. Sorry. Still odd that no one noticed. ![]() |

Sekerob, not even going to try? Perhaps I should do a cut and paste from the post to Bok at Free-DC ... Long as you cut / paste complete and verbatim, that's perfectly fine to do, with original link to the source post, such learned is the proper netiquette. Anyway, I just see at Free-DC that WCG is down on both servers. Not noticed anything today, but I looked twice in the past hour: http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=boinc_status As for stats board numbers, I've long given up to expect them to tie to WCG stats, even for the BOINC credits only. Because of timing differences it always requires laborious reconstruction. Think WCG internally has had too some head scratchers on the performance indicator differences and those for instance shown at BOINCstats. They show now 29.6 million for the last day, where WCG shows 30.4 million credit equivalent. 0.8 million gone missing. Willy shows 267.8 Teraflops for WCG, I come to 273.1 for 60 day sliding mean, 280.5 for 21 days and 286 for 7 day mean. One of the team mates does it for teams by deducting last daily from previous daily, so sometimes we see in one day several days of credits collected if WCG had an update crash, or if the extractor had one. His numbers are though mostly right on the money: http://members.chello.nl/j.bliek/dpc/wcg/wcg_dpch.htm So, no I did not notice because I choose to remain in oblivion on the topic as it drains energy.

To add, in the ballpark on most sites my credit is shown correctly for the team, but whilst my own team shows 7.5 million, Free-DC shows me having 4.2m http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=searc...b&exact=N&cross=N Under my team it's shown quite off too, so team totals must be wrong too.

Couple of things, seeing as I do the stats at Free-DC...
----------------------------------------The original WCG stats are archived so have not been updated in a long time now (since the original agent was stopped being used). The search showed these OLD numbers from what I called World Community Grid Classic. These used to be parsed via the html which was god awful. The boinc version shows you with 969,947 which is precisely what you have in the latest user.xml. I believe WCG multiplies this by 7 for archaic reasons to display on the website itself. You linked to my boinc_status page. This should not really be used as a definitive guide at all and no-one ever said it was. It attempts to interrogate the standard server_status.php page on a boinc server (in it's xml format), but when there is a non-standard implementation it's not going to find the page. I just added it as an experimental feature fairly recently. You assert that stats are exported once per day at WCG. I'd 99% disagree with that as I'm showing that at the very least tables.xml has it's last_update_time updated. I poll this value throughout the day and if it has changed then I update. My statsrun page clearly shows that there are more than 2 updates per day at WCG. I have no evidence that my code is incorrect at all. I guess I could save off the files from each run of WCG to prove it... Bok EDIT : that being said there is a problem with the search you did in that it should have picked you up in the Boinc version of WCG also. I'll fix that.. EDIT2 - FIXED.. Rather than who said who and what I asserted in this thread (once a day?), suggest to contact knreed / support directly for the definitive information and what parts you can draw on to have your Free-DC stats show what WCG shows.
----------------------------------------Possibly some forgotten job runs every six hours, following the old 4x a day update as it used to be, but officially that ended several years ago.
