Hello Tim;
Thought I would add just a line or two to you from a "dog's" perspective. As the unofficial mascot for My Online Team I think all of us participating no matter the team in this type of thing do share some common ideals, whether consciously seen by all or not. First, I think that even for the most cynical of us participating in it shows hope. Hope in our future, hope that there are answers we can discover, hope that we in our small individual efforts may make a difference to some one, even ourselves and hope that there really are altruistic people, corporations and nations that make up the community of the world. Second, I think it shows belief. Belief in the idea that there is an underlying order to all things, belief that order may be discerned by the cogent curious mind, belief the order is not the result of randomness or accident and a belief that part and parcel of that order is that we must learn to work together to solve the deeper mysteries hidden from us. Third, I think is action. Action in that we choose to put our hopes and beliefs to work, action to lean or push on the door of the unknown, action to allow ourselves to be possibly disappointed, action to extend a hand where none may have been extended before and action to come together as a community. Our hope is our attempt to sketch our future, our beliefs are the blueprint our future follows and our actions of today are the foundation stones lain for our tomorrows, come join us in seeking and fulfilling our remarkable promise. Press generates interest and interest generates CPU time. More CPU time equals happiness. Happiness brings in the press and so on. A creative "Borgian" way of thanking the individual without reliquishing control; while reminding him that he is worthy of your time only because it serves your purposes. This is only one of the doctrines that we teach at our initiations. My Indoc was in New Mexico at the first Tribal Council. Sound like the TV show "Survivor"?. We are still in litigation over their misuse of the term. It was originally used by TribalWar in preparation for SETI. However, this is another story. The New Mexico allusion sounds rather generic with a shot of humor thrown in to break up the "strange" tone or risk losing the reader. The use of SETI in the same paragraph subtely suggests a Roswell/ET connection. Most people don't have a clue why they join the grid. Perhaps they are drawn as a moth is to flames. Not a bad analogy considering the heat thrown off by one of our server dens. Sure, I have seen the rather quaint single system installations that exist. TribalWar is different. TribalWar has vision. All who do not become assimilated by the Borg are simply existing with no real sense of purpose or meaning. The allusion of a moth to a flame brings the constant underlying theme of a fatalistic struggle against overwhelming power (Borg/yours) that portends ultimate doom. Still I can not help but wonder if I don't see a bit of Carlos Castenada in the "moth to a flame" metaphor. Once you have been through Indoc you look at the world in a different manner. Once you have worn the Shades of Time you see truth. "Shades of Time?", I hear you query. It sounded weird to me too until I gazed at the first ripping farm through infrared day gear provided to me by one of the Time Keepers. My core temperature rose considerably while I basked in that eerie, somewhat sensuous red glow. The Indoc is another Borgian allusion, but "Shades of Time" may have it's roots in something "Druid", perhaps? Words cannot do justice to the feeling a TribalWar member achieves through accurate, diligent processing. We pride ourselves in our combination of computational and memetic skills. Our message is packaged to spread like a virus and we are all positive agents of our cause. Sometimes we joke that "it's in the water" around our base. An allusion to the strong sensual undertones in the Borgian experience. You would truly have to arrange a virtual tour of our technical exostructure. It is nothing short of amazing and is a welcome sight to those wishing to experience the future. Again, consistently Borg. But the "exostructure" metaphor could be an allusion to Orson Scott Card's "Buggers." Hi Tim,
The cause is is my motivation. Too many of my loved ones getting caught in cancer traps with little or no perspective to make a sharp right. ... The technological aspect of this project doesn't get me excited however the vision of working with people all over the world, that I do not know and irrespective of their motivation are working for a common goal - males my internal processor overclock  Robert Sababady 44 Marketing Consultant |

A few of our members signed up early, and encouraged others to join, but our numbers were small and mainly insignificant in the grand scheme of things. It was not until we heard of team MOT, and more importantly their elitist attitudes/actions towards our members on the forums that you saw a big rush of sign-ups. When we heard of the censorship that was happening on the forums, we immediately and without hesitation set out to crush them points-wise. So, because of a few members of MOT, team TW is what it is today - like it or not. We're point-whores, and we're going to outscore MOT, and most likely a few other large teams along the way. Whole countries cannot gather the masses that we've gathered, neither can any other group outside of Slashdot. We're proving that vengeance is a mighty force to reckon with, and that the end really does justify the means.
