In many fora on the net, posters who wish to draw attention to the fact that they have just edited a previous post in the same thread make a new post, containing just the word "Bump". Any new post causes the thread to go to the top of the list in its forum section.
"The Bump Thread" excepted, this convention is seldom used here at WCG. It would cause undesirable clutter of the forum unless the Bump posts could be and were, deleted as soon as they were no longer relevant. However, users cannot delete one of their posts if there is another more recent post below it. They can edit it and delete the content ("Bump"). Are empty posts deleted automatically? What is acceptable behaviour at WCG? |

Try to avoid editing posts. If you have something else to say, create a new post.
The edit feature is supposed to be for typos and things of that nature. Posts are cheap. Create as many as you need. But, speaking as a member, I appreciate posts with actual content in them. |

If anyone has anything to say towards a bumped threads edited post, reply to the edited post and you can still delete the bump post, since it's not the one being replied to. Simple as that.
