Uplinger has 12 - he's missed out on Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy (only getting a silver... boy, would I be annoyed at that...). I was 27 days from gold in my missing badge :( hehe...but fair is fair. I should have contributed more towards that project. I did lobby to get that extra 27 days but failed in my attempt...anyways, i enjoy the badges as much as everyone else :) -Uplinger Does the next phase of HCMD have to definitely be a new badge then? I could do with upgrading my bronze ![]() |

The chance of beta to re-appear again is higher i think. Absolutely. There is no chance to get the UD client MS badge. I can somewhat easily get another beta badge. ![]() |

I did lobby to get that extra 27 days but failed in my attempt...anyways, i enjoy the badges as much as everyone else :) -Uplinger Hummm, I have a guess about it... and I lost my chance to have the perfect 13 by far (in time to get) if compared with you Uplinger... and I lost in two ones : GC and HDC. In my case, during the both projects time duration, I just have 2 weak machines running UD client, and at end time of each one, running WCG clients (my wrong decision for not quick off UD before... arghhhhhh). My poor attention on forums and lack of personal time to dedicate more to WCG, provoque this lack of work done and results, and so on... Additionally, and it could explain very well why you and me don't got the perfect 13 goldies (As well as I saw in many other old crunchiers in WCG too), I guess that during GC, HDC, and HCMD projects duration, the number of WU's available and distributed in a short time projects duration, was little when compared with other projects in WCG, exception are AC and BETA that have some specifics conditions to get WU's, and the new ones that have a lot of time ahead yet. As of today, and now, take a look below at some project statistics to capture some correlations mentioned (hope nopt transcripted errors...): FAH: 87,457,723 results in about 93,765 years HPF2: 49,873,572 results in about 42,957 years HCC: 38,522,610 results in about 29,435 years HPF1: 26,044,374 results in about 26,645 years DDDT: 22,398,211 results in about 9,228 years NRW: 13,334,764 results in about 12,753 years GC: 10,413,019 results in about 3,748 years Complete HCMD: 5,418,019 results in about 8,082 years Complete HDC: 5,316,402 results in about 2,909 years Complete HFCC: 1,057,102 results in about 669 years CEP: 577,195 results in about 856 years BETA: 107,688 results in about 71 years AC: 33,023 results in about 33 years Coincidences, lobbies and conspiration theories away, maybe for this 3 projects (GC, HCMD, and HDC), the times to get more high level badges, would be less than the standard for all projects... ![]() GIBA, I like your lobby points, but unfortunately when the values were decided, only 1 person was gold on all the badges at that time. So it was a very elite catagory to be in. Anyways, badges are fun to acquire and show off. I hope everyone else enjoys them as the people posting in this forum. Also, just because a person does not have 13 badges does not mean they did not contribute LOTS of cpu time on the machines they have towards the projects on World Community Grid. I am very envious to hear all of the members with I7 machines as well as many other new exciting processing machines. Thank you again to everyone for making World Community Grid such a great project! -Uplinger |

Of course, there is a chance to get 13 Badges or to get badges for past projects: Transform the UD Points( that we crunched for WCG) to Boinc Points.
----------------------------------------When will be that ? It will be nice to schedule this sooner rather than later. |

If I remember correctly HCMD was restricted to Linux platforms for the first run....a sore point for some of us Windoze types
---------------------------------------- I hope the new release will be available to all![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by AnRM at Apr 15, 2009 11:21:25 AM] |

I thought HCMD was a UD only project and most crunchers were switching to BOINC at the time it was running. I have a HCMD badge but never have had a linux box registered. I was slow to switch all my single core devices over to BOINC until the big push to BOINC. The multi core devices were running BOINC already though ![]() |
