Still at it :)

Hi everyone,

Good news - we've upgraded our storage system and can accommodate more results, finally. It's a challenging climate for everyone, but we found a way to do it properly -- getting more disks is only one challenge, making sure they're redundant and monitored is another.

Right now we're catching up with a buffer of results that had been generated at the reduced pace, and when we're caught up completely we can continue moving along at the incredible pace we've seen from you before.

To give you an update we've briefly described the next steps ahead for us with the results you produced: http://protinfo.compbio.washington.edu/rice/status.html

Thanks so much for your work so far. There's still more on the horizon so let's see those protein structures! :)

Re: Still at it :)

That's excellent news Michal, I know you've been having challenges with the lack of storage space for quite some time, so it's good to hear that you've finally managed to get that issue resolved.

Just hope you're ready to see the true power of WCG now that the tap can be turned fully back on again biggrin

Re: Still at it :)

ciao Michal,

Thanks for the update and link to your site update. Got a rough percentage of completion? The 40000 pixels give a rough impression of 60-70% having been received. If you can put a number on your site update it wont get lost in the stream of posts on our forum.

cheers

Re: Still at it :)

Thanks for the update, once the current set are worked through do you know if you will be adding more work units or waiting for the results to be processed and then going for a Rice V2 project?

Re: Still at it :)

From what I understand from the datagrams, does this project only last for about 4 months when it will be completed?

Re: Still at it :)

Which datagram exactly makes you think that (link)?
