Movieman, please will you identify and fix whatever it is that is causing hundreds of connections to the forum under your login. Thank you. I wish I knew what the heck was going on. Starting app a week ago when I tried to login to the forum that "security wrapper" you folks use would load over and over non stop and I think that is what is showing all the logins. Just became aware of the multi logins myself yesterday when I looked at "who's online" If you have any ideas on what is causing this let me know because I have no clue as to why. edited for language...cih ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 5, 2009 5:41:32 PM] |

During what time do you do your login? I've noticed towards a late part of the stats run it becomes hard to sign-in and just sitting there endlessly rotating, but not creating any sessions though. I use FFX 3.08

Do you use a prefetch or web accelerator plugin?
Do you use an auto-refresh plugin? Are you whitelisting cookies from WCG? What browser do you use? If none of these help, you could try using Wireshark to trace the circular redirect. |

God's truth guys, as simple as it can be.
----------------------------------------XP64 bit sp1 and nothing else at all. Dedicated crunchers and I've seen this happen on all my machines(6) in the last week. Sometimes almost impossible to login, sometimes easier. Using outlook express 6 and just as it comes packed in windows. ![]() |

I'm going to grab all the windows updates and install on this machine and see if that helps.

outlook express 6? How? Why?
Movieman, I haven't seen any other reports of login problems, and you are the only one I have seen with hundreds of connections. The techs have noticed as well, and they didn't mention it affecting anyone else. Perhaps your proxy has something to do with the problem. What do you use? Smoothwall? |

Outlook express 6 because I didn't care for what I saw in outlook express 7.. call it old dog and new tricks syndrome if you want. I just installed all the MS updates inc SP2 and then ran spybot and nothing showing. As to proxy, none..I'm on a Verizon FIOS 15mbit/2mbit line BUT Verizon sold out to Fairpoint communications a few months ago. There was email address forwarding from the old email address to the new and perhaps an issue there as that was supposed to stop on April 1.. From here guys I'm as much in the dark as you are. ![]() |
