I've got same problem. But not a big deal right now. I hope no new project will be released till it is fixed..

I hope no new project will be released till it is fixed.. jkislenko and others, I would not bet anything on that. Better set your device profiles individually the way you like to be sure of what you will or will not get when the next project starts. It should take you one or two minutes in total. Cheers. Jean. |

This will be fixed the next time we update the web site (which will be before the next project is released).
In the mean time, the setting that is used is the box in your Default boinc profile. If that is checked, then you will be opted in to most new projects (excluding unusual projects like AC@H). That box will also be what your auto opt-in is set to when the fix is implemented. |

In the mean time, the setting that is used is the box in your Default boinc profile. nelsoc, could you please be more specific? "The setting that is used": where and for what? I hope you mean "for setting on or off the new project in My Profiles" and that it is not used in other specific profiles where the setting is the opposite. It is the purpose of specific profiles to have different choices for particular devices. Thanks for clarifying (and for the coming website update). Jean. |

Sorry, I tried to be clear by saying "Default boinc profile" ... The setting to automatically opt-in (or not) to new projects is set on the individual profile level. When the issue with the checkbox is fixed, the checkbox will be set the same as the opt-in checkbox on your Default boinc profile. All profile specific settings will remain unchanged. The only thing affected is the checkbox on the My Projects page. |
