Had problems communicating with the websites so I downloaded the latest BOINC Linux release, install it and this is what I get. I am a novice at this so if I am in the wrong area for some help please let me know...

error while loading shared libraries: libXcomposite.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Re: libXcomposite not found

Greetings akamai99,

What version of linux did you install? This will assist me greatly in guiding you down the right path to getting the proper libraries installed. example OS's are Ubuntu 8.04 Desktop, Fedora Core 10... Also, please state if you installed the gui interface or desktop for your version of linux.

Thanks,
-Uplinger
