Name Used which i use allready for many many years

Sadly i see another joker have used my alias which i use since forever
doing DPC projects like seti since it started.

And ofcourse these persons are not even active at all for years.

Why is it not possible like in other projects to keep my alias.

Since boinc is based on the CPID so even though names would sometimes be the same they actually are different.

The BOINC design was deeply flawed. The original design required that members have unique email addresses. I think they would like to change it, but they are stuck with millions of users with duplicate names - often unhelpful or insecure names such as "Administrator".

At World Community Grid, members have unique names, so there is no confusion and no danger of impersonation. Thanks to the CPID mechanism, it doesn't matter that you have a different name at other BOINC projects.

Well it does at boincstats and other very important stats sites.

But i only will run this project for a short time now,
Since this project is also stuck on team also which i don't like either.
So after the run ill drop this weird project

Begrijp er geen barst van. Eerst post je als Bronan en zegt dat je alias door een ander gebruikt is, dan post je met de DPC subteam prefix. Als ik op BOINCstats kijk zie ik een Bronan die langer inactief is. Dus over welke alias het gaat, die ook onder Seti te vinden is is raadselachtig. Hier alle 'Bronan' data bij BOINCstats:

Heel simpel de alias Webbie is in gebruik door James Webb die al niet meer actief is sinds 2006.
Op verzoek van TEB heb ik dus deze nieuwe alias aangemaakt. Ik draai dus dit project tot einde stampede.
Bronan is een alternatief ook vanwege dat een ander in DPC webbie heeft geleend, zo te zien ook al niet meer echt actief.

For the english readers :
My main Alias is Webbie and has been taken by james webb which isn't been active since 2006.
(I have used the alias Webbie since 199? (i forgot which year it started) when seti started with the seti@home alpha/beta project and never changed it since then)
I made Bronan as an alternative name because Webbie was taken here and on DPC webbie is taken by another user which isn't also been active for a while.

Since WCG does not offer sub-team structuring, the solution is/was to put the ST name before the separator, the point, and the member name in second part. DPC's own stats accumulators split thus can run sub team competitions on top of individual and overall, which for large teams adds that extra.
