These computers are still working wu at a rate of about 3 hours per but, many of them are erroring out as detached. Anybody have or have had this problem ? Did the research and can find no answers.

Please post some entries from the events log. That should help diagnose the problem.

The only time I have seen the detached message was when I tried to start a second client on a machine and forgot to set the allow_multple_clients flag. It sounds like the WUs were downloaded to a client with a host id different from the host id in the current client. Usually happens when one tries to save the contents of the boinc data directory but the client got a new host id when it contacted the server.

Thanx you for helping. All the detached wu were ( if I read it right the server aborted all but 2 of them) Was driving me a little nuts but, now looks like it sorted itself out. On another front just add another 8 android cores. Now totaling 44 cores. Again thanx for the help. ![]() ![]() |

Yes,they do seem to be working better than I expected. The nice thing about them is that they are upgradable I can change out the cpu with the I7 2600k that would increase the core count by 12 ( now if I can get the wife to go the extra 300$ for them) ![]() ![]() |

Had to change the profile on one of my laptops, so as to remove 1 project. For some weird reason it would not run cancer markers project; other computers were running them fine but, this one would take up to 4.5 to 5 days to complete. So my points should go back to normal in a day or 2. Strange that this did this. ![]() ![]() |
