As a rule of thumb I use PPP as 1 US$ equals 10 Danish Kroner
- on paper it's only 1:5 these days. But thusly you would pay what equals some 30% of my monthly "social security pension" just for utilities! That's a lot. How do you like cactii? |

Thats what I Like Someone with an independent mind
----------------------------------------doesnt kowtow to Beer-o-Krats........ Still calls a spade a spade, believes in the Kroner , Stuff the Euro € I used to like the fact when riding my Moto around Europe most petrol stations would take Franks, French or Belgium, Marks or Kroner.with no questions So the change to the multi country € no need to change currency was already in existence at street level. Not quite the same but I remember getting the bike filled up free gratis by an American serviceman who had petrol coupons, issued due to the high cost of fuel compared with cost back in the US of A They were it seemed in units in excess of the average bike gas tank ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Jun 9, 2011 6:59:25 AM] |

British £ - aren't you lucky. So, do you mean to say that you could fill you tank on that coupon without spending all of what it was worth? What to do then? Chocolate worth the remaining amount? - if you could get chocolate that is. For many years many staples were scarce in Germany: Coffee, butter - you felt it at the breakfast tables, but then again: Their wonderful Brötchen were plenty - well, baker's dozen you may say - you just had to apply certain logistics with the butter! ![]() |

Utilities are 1/5 of my check these days!
I was bad yesterday. I bought a box of 4 apple fritters and ate 3 before the day was done! |
