There are no supported CUDA/GPU projects at WCG. Go here if you want to run your vid card. And YES it would be worthwile to the cause. ![]() Cheers! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Dataman at Mar 25, 2009 3:45:40 AM] |

Count Zero,
----------------------------------------I use in one box a 9600GT and it works very well to ran BOINC projects, but there are a lot of GPU's better than it available nowawdays to do it. (if you will buy one brand new...). There are under BOINC, some projects already using GPU/CUDA, but all WCG projects don't take advantage of this technologie yet. To use a GPU, you will need more high level BOINC client in your machines than the recommended version for WCG projects (there's no support from WCG for non recommended versions, be aware once it is important !), and you can ever check what releases are BOINC team recommend for GPU users that would like to try crunch projects like SETI, GPU.GRID, Eisntein, and so on: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ If you prefer, you can try use more high level Boinc clients versions at your own risk: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D ![]() ![]()

Count Zero,
----------------------------------------just to be in the same page, "high level" means more recent releases. Let me know if you need more help, but I strong recommend deep lectures inside the forums across BOINC and its projects to capture good information about. The forums about the mentioned GPU projects probably will be a good start. Good luck. ![]() ![]()
