It says it cannot rad the character coding. I appears to be saved as a .sh file.

This is the second computer I am installing it on. I tried to open it with gedit. Should I use something else?

yes you have a solution
----------------------------------------I use the manager of package synaptic (en français = gestionnaire de paquet synaptic) With the research tools types “boinc” Select it and install it And here is your application functions  |
