Acho que voce deve seguir as recomendacoes do Zig e tambem as do Falconet, mas...

Abrindo seu device profile, seguindo as recomendacoes do Zig ai acima, observe o que esta marcado em cada uma das opcoes de configuracoes possiveis...

Por exemplo, se voce esta processando numa maquina quadcore, e so tiver marcado nas configs para usar digamos somente 30% da capacidade dos processadores ou um numero menor de processadores do que o disponivel na maquina (considerando o HT, no caso dos procs da Intel...), e digamos que num caso como este somente 1 core vai ser alocado ao client BOINC (e para o WCG...), entao certamente voce nao vai baixar muitas tarefas...

Outra coisa importante e entender que se voce vai processar o client Boinc, e se e somente se voce tiver uma maquina com boa qualidade de hardware/software (e nem precisa ser tao avancada ou a mais atual possivel, pois maquinas de 6 anos atras ainda se enquadram neste caos dependendo do proc, da mobo e da RAM que utilizam...), entao e melhor de errar, e neste caso estamos falando sempre de algo como processar com a maxima performance possivel... e se possivel, num regime de 24x7 sem parar...

Apenas para ilustrar, como exemplo e ate para servir de guia aoutros colaboradores/as que tenham interesse em maxima performance com BOINC no WCG, segue abaixo uma configuracao de altissima performance possivel de usar com o BOINC no WCG, que utilizo com um dos meus perfis de processamento (device profile WORK), e apenas para minhas maquinas rapidas no processamento e com alta performance:

Esta tambem ja uma boa dica para quem quiser obter sempre uma excelente performance no WCG, e assim nao so fazer mais resultados, como tambem mais pontos e mais tempo de processamento. As configs podem ate variar e seguirem parametros um pouco melhores (vai depender do hardware que voce disponibilizar, por exemplo com HDs de estado solido esta performance vai aumentar mais um pouco, por exemplo com RAM de clock mais elevado, e assim por diante...) sobre este exemplo ai acima, mas nao vao fugir muito disto (exceto pelos limites impostos pelo WCG a cada parametro de config).
