Little mermaid ! That's a nice breakfast, but I prefer something more light...
----------------------------------------One or two slices of black bread (warmed), honney, cashenut juice or grapefruit juice, one boiled egg, and two slices of "Brazilian Fuba" cake (something similar than Corn cake, but with a lot of secrets from my Italian Nona (gradma...) and some spices from Brazil like small seems of "Erva Doce" (Suggar herb)... I will take a picture tomorrow to show it. Enjoy by now with the imagination ! ![]()

RoBerTo ITaPoliS, thank you so much for this menu!
Wonderful food it seems! All Base Campers on this Trek would like to have one of each - and plenty of coffee, too, please. What is inside the little "present"? |

... What is inside the little "present"? If you refer to the last picture, is one of most popular foods in any part of Brazil... you can found it really in any city, in almost all areas, from North to South, from East to West... Is called "pamonha" (a milenar heritage from Brazilian native folks, including the name in Tupi-Guarani language that was copied to Portuguese...). Is a delicious kind of food made from a pulp of new green corn grains very very very smashed until reach a kind of flour but wet... after itthare are many ways to prepare, including some herbs and spices added by many natives tribes with distincts flavours. At end, the "present" or packge is prepared using a leave of corn and after all boiled in water for some time. There are suggared types and salt types for all tastes... is a delicous very simple to prepare, and very easy to eat ! Corn aand its subproducts, is a very important food for Brazilians in general, since our roots during discovering and colonization times, and many centuries before with native cultures, considering the overall balancing of agribusiness production here, that will be found in many traditional receipts of food, with multi-ways to prepare or mix it in or with other kind of foods. is a kind of joker ! ![]()

GIBA and all of Team BRASIL - BRAZIL@GRID!
Base Camp's Trek #37 with you is officially over. If things run as they use to, some of us will stay a little longer. We are pleased you welcomed us and we certainly enjoyed being here - not only for the food and drink - but also - and especially - for the interaction and getting to know you. Creating friendship between the Base Camp Motley Crew and you Brazilians was our aim - and I think we obtained it very well. Traditionally, the participants in a Trek will receive a badge, and there will be one for: sunfolk Jose little mermaid kawika57 Duke of Buckingham cswchan jan649 yodap deltavee Jose shiva GTCola2010 AlephNull blackheeler Dr. Dan Cappy Bryan USAFA 82 KWSN-Gemjunkie[TeaM] RAMMIE Lighthouse T.G. Wakko Viper97 Pwrguru@BC Dan holtz NAP2614 tanner2 Which badge will be exciting. So far we have four very good suggestions. The winner will be chosen by the Base Campers. Thank you, Brasil-Brazil |
