Workunits seem to be stuck in "downloading" status on my laptop. I've aborted several but the next one does the same thing. Doen't seem to be a problem (yet) on my desktop machine.
----------------------------------------Have 2 units stuck in this mode at the moment - and they've been that way for a hour or so [Edit 1 times, last edit by deni999 at Mar 18, 2009 9:41:24 PM] |

Can you please post the message log from BOINC. From the startup please as I'd also like to see the base memory and disk settings.
----------------------------------------In the transfer tab of BOINC manager advanced view, is it stopping right at the very few bits, or is it managing a good bit before stopping? What's your security software and is it doing anything? ttyl

I believe suspending computation - on battery operation is the cause. It suspends networking immediately.

The on battery situation was temporary - it is now plugged in and the situation is the same

Yes, interrupting active downloads/uploads does have hangups to go with it. There are various options in BOINC to restart a transmission.
----------------------------------------1. Select the file in the transfer window and hit "retry" 2. In the Advanced menu there is a "do comms" or similar. 3. In projects selecting WCXG and hitting update. 4. A client restart and eventually 5. A boot. Please edit your opening post and insert [RESOLVED] in the title, to close the case Happy crunching.
