Would this project benefit curing adulthood cancers?
This is my major concern as to whether or not to join this project. |

Neuroblastoma affects children and adults, but only 10% of cases occur in people older than 5 years of age.
The research done by this project may prove to be relevant to other types of cancer. |

My attitude is that if a treatment is found for one cancer it may help in finding cures for others either directly by the solution being adapted, or indirectly by freeing up cancer scientists who were working on a cure for that cancer to start looking for a cure for another type no cure has been found for - in the same way crunchers switch to a different project once one is completed.
The world gains in unexpected ways from each breakthrough in research. |
