Re: HFCC Badge: Who Will Be First in Bronze, Silver & Gold?

Uplinger and Harreld have already got bronze badge.
And as we can see, the badge is a little bit smaller than the others.

Congratulation to every crunchers that have got the badge today. applause

Poste edited the 17th of march because after changing badge to fixe the size, my post become incomprehensible.

Didactylos already alerted the webmaster that the standard 2px fringe was missing... but who'd expect the crunchers to be quicker... Zero Redundancy did it, for the most part.

I'll be happy if I get to Gold - I just wish I had another PC to install to, but I guess my single PC helps in a small way... smile

Every computer helps, big or small

Re: HFCC Badge: Who Will Be First in Bronze, Silver & Gold?

I wondered why I wasn't getting any HFCC workunits. If I look at 'My Projects', HFCC is checked (I have 'opt in' checked). But I have individual profiles for my machines, and if I look at those profiles under 'Device Manager", HFCC is NOT checked. It was my understanding that the 'opt in' function would opt new projects into the individual profiles as well.
I have manually checked this project in all my device profiles, so I hope to start getting some soon.

Bravo Harreld! That is just amazing. Just how many cores do you have running, if I may ask?

Re: HFCC Badge: Who Will Be First in Bronze, Silver & Gold?

Should take 4.7 days to get the gold, figuring 19 cores running the project. 4 quads, a dual and a single. If these validate right away then may a day to clear the buffer.

k.t.

Re: HFCC Badge: Who Will Be First in Bronze, Silver & Gold?

You characters continue to amaze me. I reckon to achieve Bronze in April, Silver in June and Gold in October. I would love to see Harreld's machine setup.

Bravo Harreld! That is just amazing. Just how many cores do you have running, if I may ask?

Had to calculate it: in total 104 cores at the moment, in 34 devices.
4 devices are a dual-quad core Xeon's and 6 are single quad cores. So 10 devices together good for 56 cores. biggrin
And to confess: 3 of those 8-core machines are doing besides WCG... nothing (for now) and thus running for 100% WCG! smile
We as company decided to run WCG on all our devices in order to support the projects of WCG because we see a lot of unused CPU time in our company and WCG and it's projects are focussing on tough problems like human diseases (cancer, AIDS) and energy consumption on which we want to contribute by means of our spare CPU time.
