Has it always been this way? Or is this a recent change?
I for some reason recall that I was able to go back for atleast a few weeks and see my results. I had up to 5 pages one time...and it wasn't because of validation timelines. |

Hi Knightro2,
It has always been this way - - but . . . There have been times when results stayed longer on the page than they should. I have always guessed that this was just a sign of some process going wrong on the server (or being intentionally disabled for some reason). I have not paid much attention to it. Lawrence |

When this thread was first posted, I checked my Results pages and noticed several old WU's for HPF2 on the last page. They all had an error, detached, aborted or no-reply status from one of the wingmen after the validation date.
For example, the oldest WU was uploaded by me on 2-18 and it validated on 2-23. A detached status posted from the last wingman on 2-26. The WU finally fell off my Results list this past weekend (almost a month after validation). Maybe a bad status after validation is what keeps a WU from falling off the list in the normal timeframe. |

Knightro2, on revisit, I'm not sure if there is a problem. Completed HFCC tasks / batches have been moved off to the assimilator much more quickly than the 4 day after validation rule... anxious scientist to get hands on first production. Certainly the oldest I see for any device is the 21st.
----------------------------------------If you look in the detail of the very old there is probably still one or more copies outstanding (the RICE and the HPF2 task at bottom). Also, for some reason the techs leave an older batch sitting, all hanging on a few results to make the set complete, not necessarily one of your results. An example was ACAH. Those stayed sometimes for 2 months, just because of the waiting on someone. hope this gives you some pointers to look deeper and resolve the matter fore you. cheers

Ahh, thanks Sek...that actually helped me understand it.
----------------------------------------I thought it was just a record for the WU's I've completed so I could go back and look. From what I understand from the post is that when the work is moved off WCG's servers and given to the research party...then it wouldn't be accessible to me anymore...is my understanding correct? I checked one of the old RICE WUs at the bottom of the list...sure enough...all of them are completed except for 1 that is still in progress in the quorum. Yes, WCG does not keep the results on-line... the said base 4 day rule. Once the assimilator has done the job and moved the validated result into the master database, they go, sooner or later. It's storage on the SAN that's premium.
----------------------------------------And another notch on the club... please mark your opening post title and insert [RESOLVED] cheers
