According to the log it does recognize your cpu as a Pentium D dual core.
----------------------------------------Might be your memory limit. According to Boinc you only have 217.69 MB physical memory of which it is only allowed to use 108.85MB. According to this FAQ one FAAH wu can easily use all available RAM, leaving not enough for a second. Is the reported RAM correct? (sounds like 256MB installed which is quite limited) Btw, the latest WCG endorsed client version is 6.2.28. 6.4.5 is known to have issues. Yeah, may be you are right. After reboot, it works 2 task then after that only 1 task is running.
---------------------------------------- is there any way to make it run 2 task without adding more RAM i've just bought RAM for my core 2 duo

Depends on what you use that computer for... just crunching? If so, increase the ram % when in use.
----------------------------------------Is a Pentium D a real dual core or virtual? Running 2 jobs in so little ram causes allot of memory to disk swapping but that depends on the project combination. Set it to only run RICE & HCC and they will easily fit together in 108mb ram.

Running 2 jobs in so little ram causes allot of memory to disk swapping but that depends on the project combination. Set it to only run RICE & HCC and they will easily fit together in 108mb ram. real dual core but the problem is i'm only crunching for FAAH only i'll try to change % of memory use; hope it works.05-Mar-2009 23:27:31 [---] Preferences limit memory usage when active to 163.27MB 05-Mar-2009 23:27:31 [---] Preferences limit memory usage when idle to 217.69MB and still same, only 1 task ![]()

I guess you have an personal reason for only running FAAH. If not I'd suggest you try to run HCC or RICE (even if only as a test) as they have a much smaller memory footprint.
----------------------------------------As you can see in the FAQ i linked to FAAH can be quite memory hungry. I'm not a linux expert but I guess you have something like a taskmanager there where you can see how much memory your FAAH science project is actually using.
