Evening all
I said that quietly so as not to wake any of the team up. It's been sunny here again but, apart from the week's big shop, I haven't been very active, but more 'Village' gardening tomorrow as we start to tackle all the bits the local authority don't get round to prior to the 'London in Bloom' inspection in July. So it'll probably bring on a bit of Tedding. Another F1 this weekend and I shall watch the race but I've been contemplating since the Budget. should I re-think? Should I really be cheering on guys who claim they're Brits but, as soon as they starting earning big money, scooted off to tax havens to avoid paying their share of tax. Another amendment needs to be made to the rules for those in Monaco and so on. When calculating the number of days they are allowed to return to the UK without penalty the day of arrival and departure do not count. This means that Green can fly in his private jet from Monaco to City Airport on Tuesday and return on Friday with no tax penalty. I don't want to cane anyone but I don't see why a minority should be able to exploit the tax situation to their advantage and still claim they are loyal Brits. So, got that off my chest and I'll look forward to the weekend. |

Brings in Ladder for Blanco to get down off his high horse
---------------------------------------- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> However Totally agree with the thoughts Jenson Button has today been named as top young sporting millionaire under thirty in the Times rich list at £40 million along with Rain Wooney at least the footballer lives in UK. Jenson lives in Monaco says he would be devastated if there was no Brit GP His Home GPAlonso lived here in Uk I don't know his Tax situation But he lived here >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Spent the day in the Garden weather kind to me But hush my mouth I could do with some Rain we have had no measurable rain for over two weeks ![]() >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> EDIT Sorry got that bit about the rich list wrong Michel Owen ( who I quite Like) is also on £40 million with Jenson. Lame Looney (who I don't care for at all)is on £35 million Lewis Hamilton is 5th at £25 million Out of the top 20, 17 are footballers Andy Murray13th at £12 million Ricky Hatton 6th @ £21 Million........ ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Apr 24, 2009 7:14:46 PM] |

Evening all
The promised showers for today turned out to be a light sprinkle when I went round to fetch the paper and then bright sunshine when I joined the gardening group for ninety minutes, weeding the tree bases in the pavement which were like concrete after the recent warm spell. Still the first Test comes up in just over a week and that'll probably change the weather. I'll probably have to pack an extra sweater when I start to join the queue outside Lord's. Thanks for the extra info Den. I have no problem with footballers that buy a few homes and drive Ferraris 'cause they're here and spend their loot here. AND, I'll still tune in and watch the race tomorrow but I have changed a little because I shall not be cheering for a particular winner, just hoping for a good spectacle. |
