Well the weather has lasted well most of the day. Managed to dry the washing, do lots of weeding and some planting - looks like the 2 Calif. Lilacs that we thought had been killed by the minus 13, all the leaves turned brown and dry, both have now started with new shoots & leaves, close to the ground, will do some pruning when it is easy to see the true dead wood - some black clouds on the horizon, time to scrape the Jersey Royals and sit down & watch the footie.....

Evening all
Overcast all day but just a hint of drizzle when I walked down to the Farmer's Market this morning. Since then, had friend for lunch and after soused mackerel and a bottle of wine didn't feel like doing anything outside. If the weather looks decent, may have a day at Lord's tomorrow. |

I guess i've sulked over being censored for using a word that I thought perfectly acceptable long enough
Self indulgence Sunday today i know this feeling, I love the fact that my birthday present consisted of garden furniture that h didn't only have to go pick up, hide from me, put bows on and then hand over but now he also has to assemble it now all we need is the sun to come out ....lotsa places now no longer accept cheques..... this coming from a country where they don't even accept our cool euro's fne! :ninja: |
