One thing though, do weather changes effect your knees? No, not in the slightest. Just as well when you consider the weather we have over here! Changeable is putting it mildly! ![]() |

Okay already, its a mid morning greeting from the top left hand corner of England ,The sun beaming thru the sharp Showers
----------------------------------------For all of us in The Brit Isles Bank holiday weekend is mostly known to be Wet looking to repeat the mantra this weekend At least I have the Spa-Francorchamps. Grand Prix this weekend my favourite race of the year ************************ Driving around town yesterday past different schools I saw groups of "younger" people clutching brown envelopes Various expressions on faces Glee & gloom .I just hope that the results they clutched result in university places and after the Toil and trouble of Uni they get jobs ... The Uni experience might be good for our younger fellows the end game is of course finding a work placement Media study's might result in a job in Woolies ( yes I know Woolies no longer exists ) ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Aug 28, 2009 9:25:20 AM] |

Funny you say that John
Was reading this Media studies: a Mickey Mouse degree? Media is vital to our lives, so it should be studied properly. And anyway, media studies graduates have a better-than-average chance of landing a job – so why are media degrees sometimes so scorned? Will Duffield reports.. ![]() |

I read with interest your reply JP
----------------------------------------the fact that some volume of students have achieved the accolade of a merit in media studies I personally doubt the value in this credit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Quote from JP Despite this, some people still frown upon the value of a degree in media studies. The next time you encounter a scoffer, politely ask them what they know about media studies courses, the wide range of career opportunities, and the employment rates of media graduates. You will more often than not find critics have no idea what a media degree entails and are unaware of the practical value of a course. the thoughts at this end of the world And I should add that are mostly my thoughts also are that the young folk should be directed to more meaningful degree courses media = communication with the world aka tv position radio or what ever We need people who can invent construct evolve thoughts into items that we can use or handle not ethereal concepts such is the way of our world a degree in what ever doesn't give you a input to a grand position a shelf fillers in supermarkets are full of disillusioned graduates but at least they have the work ethic We dosnt need pupils from the university with a degree and High hopes we require young willing WORKERS with an understanding of the real world outside of the educational environment ...... . Happen plumbers joiners leccys none of these trades are heavy labour so are not sexist great reward when a task is completed girls are just as a capable as boys just think about the way to go wear some cloves create an amazing pipe run show the lady of the house how this is the way to go advertise in local press as "the Water Girls" and you are on the road Media studies rubbisdh The world is your oyster as some wise chap once said ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Aug 28, 2009 5:30:07 PM] |

A Mickey Mouse qualification didn't seem to have done Walt Disney any harm ! |
