Re: .

Morning folks smile

The perverse in us Brits craving Rain devilish
I agree , that at least in My garden some moisture is sorely needed.
Once again today we have bright blue sky and sunshine.
The weather guru's casting their runes last night proclaimed it would be warmer but wet .............
My seaweed and pine-cone weather predictors dont agree. The cows are also standing in the local pastures dismissing the folk-lore that they lie down before the onset of rainy weather

First thing this morning it was frosty with some light mist but undoubtedly dry
Watch this space

Re: .

Scharnhorst.

She was 38,400 tons fully loaded and was completed in January 1939, the ship was armed with a main battery of nine 11 inch guns in three triple turrets, though there were plans to replace these weapons with 15 inch guns in twin turrets. Her secondary armament consisted of twelve 5.9 inch guns, fourteen 4.1 inch and sixteen 37 mm, and initially ten 20mm anti-aircraft guns. The number of 20mm guns was eventually increased to thirty-eight.
On 26 December 1943 she was brought to battle and sunk by superior Royal Navy forces—the battleship HMS Duke of York plus several cruisers and destroyers—off Norway's North Cape, only 36 men were pulled from the icy seas, out of a crew of 1,968.

Graupner Kit 1/150th Scale. Three electric motors and fully radio controlled.
