******************************
Later the same day ....................
just watching the pontiffs public audience with Catholics from all over the world.
final departure in the pope mobile pausing to kiss and bless a small child that was handed up to him. He retires at seven oclock Thursday evening, will he get a gold watch I wonder?
His garb is to be changed in that he will revert to brown shoes instead of RED .... and some change to his cloak double or single breasted but still in white nightmare to keep clean ... not sure about the skull cap white or red .......

Re: .

There are more non-conformists and Muslims than catholics in my stretch of the woods so it's a bit of foreign procedure to watch on television. I just hope they choose a pope from one of the countries that now have the dominant numbers.

Re: .

According to the TV pundits this morning the Catholic communities are stronger in the African countries therefore the need to bolster these with selection of a specific man from that area is not there. on the contrary its Europe is the place that need a go-getting Pope.

Watching the huddle of red hatted cardinals most of a certain age I'm hoping they have the wisdom that should go with their age. They could go for a Phone vote as in the X factor, lines close Tuesday week dont ring after this as you may be charged and your vote's wont be counted

pope anthony?

Morning all

Just so Alan my thoughts exactly

All those worthy clerics gathered in the enclave of the Vatican City writing edicts on how the good catholic on the street should live
just had a off the wall thought Didn't our ex leader convert to the Faith ? and according to him he's just a regular guy and was always good with the hand gestures and dramatic pause's in speeches
have to rethink the celibacy thing tho ..........

Re: pope anthony?

Greetings all

So, if you're not practicing Catholic, what does it matter?
