Re: Re:!

Good Morning!
I did write this, but a senior moment prevented me from pressing the right button
- so here goes:
Sun and clouds distributed about 50/50 to the cool side with just a bit of wind.

Re: memories of great events

Moaning all..

It's strange how certain events in time stay with you and evoke memories, for eg; most people will recall what they were doing when Kennedy was shot or in more recent times when the Twin Towers were destroyed!. I recall a time back in 1957 when the Russians placed a 'Sputnik' satalite into space, as news broke of this event we all dashed outside that October evening to stare at the sky in hope of catching a glimps as it orbited the earth, we never did!, however this one great event triggered the 'Race for Space program' and all that followed, the first man in space, Moon walks, portable communications, digital watches etc, etc. The heavens them days were full of stars, now-a-days with light pollution you can barely make out any stars at all!.

Have a good day all..........

Re: memories of great events

Evening all.

The morning star still greets me every morning through my bedroom window but I agree the last times I remember the darkness of night is when on holiday in rural France.
