You seem to have the honey pot of problems on your rig(s)
----------------------------------------Not seen before the Input file cep1_image11_6.28.tga missing or invalid: -120 Per the BFS it means: ERR_RSA_FAILED -120 BOINC couldn't check the encryption key on a file it downloaded. Does the file have a signature? Solution: Complain about it on the project's forums. BOINC will try to download the file again. Also try to reset the project. It may be that your public key is corrupt. A project reset should fix that.

It may be that your public key is corrupt. A project reset should fix that. I also check my rigs and results status daily. Don't forget there are many thousands of folk who do neither and so could be getting far more errors without ever knowing. That's the result I got from my search on the error code as well, which is why I reported it. Currently being moderated under false pretences |

I watch the results of CEP closely (Vista and XP). Except for the "Failed..." and several heartbeat errors of my own fault (network sluggishness), I see none of the other errors reported.

ans therein lies the problem. Not everyone pays particular attention to their stats and results lists.
----------------------------------------I forgot to add that those errors were on a Win XP SP3 machine that does nothing else right now. Currently being moderated under false pretences |

The last time we saw this problem, it was caused by security software being overly paranoid.
Dark Angel, what firewall/security software do you use? |

That machine has Avira Antivir personal edition with both BOINC and BOINC data directories specifically excluded from any scanning, either scheduled, on access or on demand.

It's not AntiVir. Do you use any firewall or proxy software? Perhaps on a router? Smoothwall?

Only the hardware firewall in my modem-router. Most of my hardware routes through a filtering software proxy installed on my main rig. The machine in question here does not, it has a direct connection to the router. It's also the only one to get this specific error.
