The best place to start would be for him to check out the System Requirements at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq (which can be found by pressing the "HELP" button in the selection bar above). If his system does meet the minimum requirements, the next place to look would be at the size defined for virtual memory. A discussion of this can be found in several threads in the forums such as http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=1479. If this does not help, then ask your friend to describe what is happening on his system. Ask him to click open the WCG Agent Window (the blue "V" shaped icon found in the task bar at the bottom). Are any messages displayed? Is he seeing anything in the Task Run Time and Task Execution Progress? Then get back to us by posting what he is seeing here.
