Ok this error doesn't show up in any google searches I've done. The machine hasn't thrown an error that I recall on ANY project that wasn't directly provoked (eg power outage causing drive corruption). Nothing like that has happened lately on this machine. It has bee running 6.4.5 for some time with no errors on any other project.

I've had nothing but issues with 6.4.5 on both 32 and 64 Ubuntu. From everything I've seen 6.4.5 is the window ME of boincs... Looks nice, runs like drek.

Well I've just dropped to 6.2.15 on my 64bit machines and since there's only a few minutes to go on one the 32s I'm letting it finish before doing the same on them.

I haven't bothered to look for forum entries having to do with the error result, but since the statistics are being updated, I thought I would check to see if anything was going on. Take note that one of my systems is using Windows XT and the other Windows Vista. This did not bother me for awhile until it happened after 8 to 9 hours of compute time. This happens with both an Intel Core2 Duo and Core2 Quad. Perhaps the issue is WU interfacing with the cpu architecture and/or instruction set rather than the OS. I have successfully crunched all my CEP WU's (including Beta) to valid results using RHEL 5.3 and Fedora 10 Linux on two different AMD platforms. One is an earlier Phenom 9600 and an older Athlon64 x2. I also am using BOINC 6.4.5 on one and 6.2.15 on the other respectively. So far, no CEP or DDDT errors yet (fingers X'd) ![]() |
