Re: output file absent?

Hi cafeina,

It means the same as has been reported from near the start of the project.

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=22709#195938

It's been dogging some crunchers. There are more posts discussing this error... security? OS ?, Hardware/OS combo ?

sorry

added: meant to ask, was this the science version 6.25 or run with the new 6.28?

Hi cafeina,
security sw on my machine?

Yes, the security software is always suspect. They can block file creation when they think that a virus is trying to write a file.

Re: output file absent?

Ok, so I have Clamwin antivirus. And it doesn't seem to have any issues with any other project.

Re: output file absent?

It's an error that most frequently occurs near the beginning of a task, but not necessarily so. Further discussed for instance here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=22754

Can you click on ther "error" on the result status page and post the log.

Re: output file absent?

Ok, so that's what I got:

<core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<message>
Impossibile scrivere sulla periferica specificata. (0x1d) - exit code 29 (0x1d)
</message>
<stderr_txt>
Calling initGraphics()
INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning.
Calling initGraphics()
Encountered error. Exiting.

</stderr_txt>
]]>

this:
Impossibile scrivere sulla periferica specificata.

is in italian and means: "impossible to write to the specified location"

dispositivo :D

Yes, this is by now a familiar error. No solution yet what it is causing for some.
