----------------------------------------I have a problem with some strange WUs recently (since February 1st) I got some new WUs but the have only one replication: Project Name: FightAIDS@Home Created: 01.02.09 Name: faah5105_003755_MC_xMut_md18750_04 Minimum Quorum: 1 Initial Replication: 1 After crunching (and validating) I got very few credits: faah5105_003755_MC_xMut_md18750_04_0-- | Valid | 02.02.09 19:42:23 | 4.59 | 87.1 / 4.2 Some WUs which in my queue: faah5112_ 002906_ MC_ xMut_ md20010_ 0B_ 0-- In Progress 04.02.09 11:48:18 16.02.09 11:48:18 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 faah5112_ 003682_ MC_ xMut_ md20010_ 08_ 0-- In Progress 04.02.09 11:48:18 16.02.09 11:48:18 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 I think that it is not my computer problem, because result is valid and my computer can't change quorum/replication :) PS A have no such problems with other WCG projects [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 4, 2009 1:29:52 PM] |

Yaroslav, getting FAAH jobs in init 2 distribution means that the systems wants to verify the results from your computer. That happens periodically after a bad result(s) or randomly or when the client is new to WCG. The standard distribution for FAAH & DDDT is single aka in Zero Redundancy.
----------------------------------------The important part to research is why we have these suddenly very low credits on ZR results for a few. Is it because internally the result computed hardly anything or a fault in the algorithm allocating credit? Lawrence had it too, so think it's an issue server side. cheers

All FAAH WUs have a replication of 1, as does DDDT...... Except the xx % which are sent with a replication of 2. Please review the announcements of single distribution. Devices which have not yet been "certified" as eligible for single distribution are receiving their FAAH or DDDT WUs in normal double distribution, and the peer device which will be used for "covering" their computation will most probably be a certified one which receives single ones most of the time. Cheers. Jean. |

... or you could actually read what's written Scribs. The xx% in Jean's post is round about 20% to arrive at a project average of 1.2 results per 1 valid result. Some front up go in replication 2, some get a second copy if inconclusive and few other reasons.

Doubt you understand it, but for linguistic cloning refer you to merriam-websters: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/standard

So, I think that distribution system change my status to 'certified'... And as a certified, my computer got only 4 credits :) PS after ~2 hours I will report about next faah WU with single distribution [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 4, 2009 5:55:09 PM] |
