Sunrise 08:35 Sunset 15:39 -1,7 °C Snow depth 10 cm No need for sunglasses ![]() that not cold this is Winnipeg, Manitoba: Temperature -18.4°C Pressure 102.1 Visibility 24 Km Air Quality Health Index 2 Snow depth dont know what you mean but: 55.6 cm in november. average 21.4 cm, (from:environement canada) you know it is bad when other pepole call it winterpeg as indicated in this article. http://www.livingin-canada.com/climate-winnipeg.html This is why it is named the coldest city on earth by the world leader in weather prediction.(environement canada) from wikipedia: According to Environment Canada, Winnipeg is the coldest city in the world with a population of over 600,000 based on the average night-time temperature during December, January and February, inclusive.,[43] although Harbin, China, Irkutsk, Russia and Ulan Bator, Mongolia amongst other cities of this size have colder daily minima for the specified period. Only a handful of cities in North America including Fairbanks, Alaska, and Yellowknife, Northwest Territories have colder daily minima during the winter months and Winnipeg has the coldest winter daily low temperatures for any city of over 100,000 population in the Western Hemisphere. Winnipeg has a humid continental climate with great seasonal temperature differences. Temperatures generally remain below 0 °C (32 °F)during the winter months and there is in most years continual snow cover from November until March. Winters in Winnipeg are usually dry, and the windchill effect is often a factor. The coldest temperature recorded in Winnipeg was −47.8 °C (−54.0 °F) on December 24, 1879.[44] Summers in the Winnipeg area can sometimes be quite humid; nearby Carman, Manitoba reached 57C (127.4F) with humidex, breaking Canada's old humidex record, in 2007.[45] The highest temperature ever recorded in Winnipeg was 42.2 °C (108 °F) on July 11, 1936.[46] Winnipeg is ranked as Canada's second sunniest city year-round,[47] second for clearest skies year-round, and second for sunniest city in Canada in spring and winter.[47] In the winter, Winnipeg has had up to 58 days per year where the temperature falls below −20 °C (−4 °F) during at least one point of the day.[48] On average, Winnipeg has 45 days a year where the humidex reaches above 30 °C.[48] [Edit 6 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 2, 2010 12:35:02 AM] |

The coldest temperature recorded in Winnipeg was −47.8 °C (−54.0 °F) on December 24, 1879 We have a little cold town here in MN. Wiki: In January 2005, Embarrass had a near-record low temperature of –54°F. The record low temperature is -64°F on February 1996 verified for accuracy by Taylor Environmental Instruments. Right now in Minneapolis it's 15°F and and a tick north of us in Winnipeg it's -2°F. Brrrrrrrr [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 2, 2010 3:09:29 AM] |
