Have you tried rebooting your computer and restarting your router/modem? the reboot does not help... and it's a company computer in office! so i have no jurisdiction over the router... but why did BOINC upload one files, and not the other? |

Guess:
----------------------------------------1) Stop BOINC including the service completely. 2) Open with a ASCII text editor the client_state.xml file and find ALL http://grid.worldcommunitygrid.org/ lines 3) Replace for all the instances of 2. above the http with https 4) Start BOINC Let us know if that worked.

Hi, KLiK.
----------------------------------------I'm betting you have the same problem as hunterkasy. Probably you use a firewall that uses a transparent proxy (probably Smoothwall with Squid). Anyway, until the techs can correct the underlying cause, the solution that worked for hunterkasy should work for you: in your cc_config.xml file, insert <http_1_0>1</http_1_0> in the options section. If you don't have the same problem as hunterkasy, then the same troubleshooting step is needed.
