Dialup Link Lost During Results Upload - Is My Task Data Lost ?

We often have dial-up line dropouts here, sometimes whilst I'm uploading completed tasks. Are my task results lost when this happens ?

We can't yet get ADSL here in A/S and satellite is still way too expensive.

This is not something that I have personal knowledge about, but you should not be awarded points on your local Agent until the server acknowledges receipt. If the connection goes down before that point, then you should be able to resend the results file created on your computer. If the connection goes down after that point, then all you need to do is download your next work unit.

Did you notice your point score when this happened?

Incidentally, questions like this are central to the WCG mission and are better placed in Member To Member or Feedback, rather than Chat which is for non-WCG topics.

I'm pretty sure the agent will retry sending the result back if there is such a failure. If you send me your device ID number and the UTC time this happened via support email ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/viewContactUs.do ) when this may have happened to you, I could double check in the server logs if I have some time.
