Despite I have not signed out , and have the " remember me " ticket

If this happens repeatedly, sometimes it helps to sign out explicitly then sign in again.

I could get technical, and try to explain why I think it happens. But I could be wrong, and it wouldn't help you anyway.
It appears to be a result of server maintenance. Out of our control. |

....the other point is that If you hit at the time of the Stats update it seems to forget you....but when you return after it has finished you can get back in without logging in.....

Actually it always asks me to login when I try to click on "My Profile", but if I then do not login, but click on My Grid, it suddenly knows who I am again. Very strange. Not exactly sure how this website is coded but it is slightly buggy on this subject, and my particular issue is not related with maintenance as it always happens and is very reproducable (and therefore not really an issue for me

That part is by design. Changing your profile details requires you to re-authenticate.
It's a security feature. |

Unless you do sign in on the forums during stats update, then almost every time you have to sign in again the next time. Also I found out that clicking My grid again when asked to sign in sometimes is enough to get logged in.  And also when clicking in Boinc Manager on My grid or Result status on another pc almost every time forces me to sign in the next time I visit the site on my main pc.  |
