This might be one of the leftovers from the part where bad work units are not removed from WCG. |

I have a work unit with this exact same situation.

Hello mikefinn,
This is being studied by the project scientists. We will beat it some day. A lot of effort is being spent on debugging. No need for you to make special reports on it. Lawrence |

These are work units loaded before the recent stoppage.

This is being studied by the project scientists. For this particular problem of validating early-failing results instead of the complete one I think it falls more in WCG's hands than in the scientists' ones. About the Result Logs. Seeing Boinc's version info may probably be useful sometimes, but I would rather expect to find the application version there, and possibly an indication of the OS and processor type. After a few days application version info can no longer be found in Boinc's logs, and even when it's still possible it's not the most convenient way of doing. Cheers. Jean. |

Please help me help the WCG Techs. I'll provide any info that I can. I'll be sure to include OS and processor information from now on as I use several operating systems. ![]() |

I don't understand what you're asking for? Please help me help the WCG Techs. Sorry David_L6, this remark was not for you but for the techs. It was following Didactylos' post about work units loaded before the recent stoppage. The problem I have is that one cannot know from the Result Log alone under which version of the application a WU has been running. After version 6.25 has been released I received old WUs that had been waiting during the pause and I checked while they were running that they had been recreated with the new version. But once they are finished and returned it is no longer visible in their Result Log. And if the techs are willing to complete this information why not add the OS and processor type which can also be useful sometimes. I have followed your recent story and I know that you are still willing to help for testing. Thank you for your help. Jean. |
