I've scanned the entries in the forums as best I can, but I do not see how to download a 64bit version of the software that does the BOINC work on my computer. I am about to do a clean install of Windows 7 beta and I would like to give the FightAIDS@home every advantage I can squeeze out of this wolfdale homebuilt.

The projects here at WCG don't use 64 bits but will run fine on a 64 bit client. So if all you run is WCG it doesn't matter. Some of the other projects do use 64 bits so if you run other projects you may want to use a 64 bit client.
Most projects do not show much improvement from a 64 bit application. They usually use mostly double floating point operations and the 64 bit CPUs don't do that any better than the 32 bit CPUs. That is also why GPUs don't live up to the hype, they may be extreamly fast at single precision ops but not at doubles. |

There's one Integer rich project, Help Cure Cancer, that seems to gain about 25% improvement on 64 bit OSses. A number of members have upgraded their OS for the very purpose of making that HCC processing gain.
