Since I turned on my laptop Sun Jan 18, 2009 at 7:39pm EST (12:39am UTC)... BOINC has been trying (and failing) to communicate with WCG.
Here is the log: BOINC Errors I've been connected to the network this entire time, on youtube, and on various forums... so I know my internet is not an issue. Any ideas? Lyos Gemini Norezel |

Do you have any proxy settings in the BOINC client on this laptop?

Lyos Gemini Norezel I ran a 'traceroute' (linux's equivalent to tracert) on both sites: traceroute Hope that helps. Lyos Gemini Norezel |

traceroute to www.worldcommunity.org (38.97.225.135), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets Is that the right IP for world community grid? http://whatismyipaddress.com/staticpages/index.php/lookup-results |

That's not resolving correctly. You need to flush your DNS. Rebooting is probably the simplest option.

i dont know what is the problem but my trace shows that after 38.97.225.131 it jumps to 38.97.225.135 while yours not:
---------------------------------------- 23 201 ms 197 ms 197 ms 38.97.225.131 24 199 ms 202 ms 196 ms 38.97.225.135 15 38.97.225.131 (38.97.225.131) 96.800 ms 117.463 ms 116.954 ms 16 38.97.225.131 (38.97.225.131) 123.680 ms 117.279 ms 117.606 ms you may try to reboot or detach and attach the project again ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by rilian at Jan 19, 2009 10:36:41 AM] |
