The CEP Beta 6.24 work unit I received has re-started once on its own:

I got this one:

I got this one: BETA_E000115_472A_000j5h00k_16_1 It's been running for almost 20 mins, using CPU but still on 0 progress. I also showed zero progress up to and after the restart I mentioned in my post above. |

Please confirm your processor type. It appears that this issue may be specific to AMD. petehardy indicated AMD - martianmoons are you on AMD also?

Got one of those new beta WU BETA_ E000115_ 472A_ 000j5h00k_ 18_ 0--

Taking into account progress after 2 hours, I was pretty sure that computation will last around 10 to 11 hours, but after 3 hours task was finished with no errors in log and uploaded. Go ahead and hit 'update' if you are running an AMD processor and one of the BETA_E000115 workunits.
We have just released an update that will cause the workunit to exit in error at this point rather then continually restart. We will continue to investigate why these workunits don't like AMD processors - but this will prevent computers from spending hours restarting every 20 minutes or so. |

How long are these workunits supposed to run? I have 2 running on a P4 that indicate just over 1% after 2 hours of crunching. There is no way they will finish before the deadline if this is accurate.
