We started getting many reports of problems with workunits from The Clean Energy Project on Sunday. As a result we have temporarily stopped sending workunits for the project until we figure out what is wrong.
----------------------------------------Some of the ways that these problems would appear on your computer are as follows: 1) On the messages for your computer, you will see the messages: Task E000115_472A-000j5h00k_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file If this happens repeatedly, you may need to reset the project Restarting task E000115_472A-000j5h00k_0 using cep1 version 619 These messages will repeat about every 30 minutes. Each time it restarts it will start from 0% complete. 2) You will have a task shown as running but no time is accumulating for the workunit [Edit 1 times, last edit by knreed at Jan 19, 2009 4:57:52 PM] |

We have identified at least one issue with a set of the workunits. We have canceled those workunits. The next time a computer running one of the workunits connects to our servers, the workunit will be aborted.
There appears to be at least one additional case. We are continuing to investigate. |

The development team is working to correct the issues with the clean energy project. We are doing some internal testing and will update this post as we progress. Thanks to all the members for your patience and help in the forums to work through these issues.

We are still doing our internal testing of the new version of the clean energy project code and are fixing all of the problematic workunits. If our testing goes well we will start a beta test, which could come as early as tomorrow. We will update the forums with the results. And again thanks to all of the members for the help in diagnosing these issues.

The Clean Energy Project is running again and the known issues with workunits getting stuck in the running state and workunits restarting have been resolved. Again thanks to all users for reporting these issues and for the help in resolving them.
