First, Welcome to WCG!! We're glad to have you.
You joined at an great time. But this great time is what is more then likely causing your issue. The WCG techs are in the process of relocating the datacenter to a newer and better location. The communications have been up and down all day. This is actually a good thing. They initially expected the complete outage to last 48 hours. Looks like so far everything is going smoothly. They are currently validating the servers and such so the site may continue to go up and down. I would give them a day or 2 more before thinking it might be an issue with you. If you go to the Member News forum (the first one listed) there are updates by Kneed (a WCG tech) about their progress. again, welcome and crunch on!!!....well...once you're able to get some work units to work on that is. |

this should be fixed now. Please force an update (go to the advanced view, projects tab, select World Community Grid, click on update, then go to the messages tab to see if it worked). Let us know if you connect this time.
thanks, Kevin |

It seems to be working fine for me so far. I have just forced an update and it accepted all my completed units and issued some new work also. A big Thanks to all the techs for such excellent work on the changeover.
